7 Reasons Why Dads Love Judes
Judes are the Tesla of the diaper industry. Find out here why initially skeptical fathers tend to fall in love with Judes.
The Tesla of the Diaper Industry
Judes is Challenging the Entire Diaper Industry
Judes cloth diapers have clear advantages over disposable diapers, without the disadvantages of conventional cloth diapers.
They are significantly more sustainable, healthier in the short and long term, save parents time, and have the potential to save up to 3,000€ per child. They are also easier to use than traditional cloth diapers.
Maximum Sustainability Compared to Disposable Diapers
The data is clear. Even including production and washing of Judes cloth diapers, compared to disposable diapers, after 3 years of diapering you can save on average:
- Over 40,000 liters of water.
- Over 1,000 kg of plastic waste.
- Over 400 kg of CO2 equivalents.
- Approximately €2,000 in diapering costs.

Short and long term healthier for your child
In the reviews left by our parents, it is often mentioned: "The red and sore spots on the skin disappeared after we switched from disposable to Judes cloth diapers.".
This is because disposable diapers contain many additives (e.g., for moisture regulation) and their super absorbents can dry out the skin.
We believe: Skin should rather breathe and regulate itself - as nature intended. With our organic cotton, your child's skin can naturally self-regulate.
And we haven't even started on the long-term health benefits yet. If you want to know more, you can find additional information here:
Potty train earlier with Judes Family
Studies show that children in disposable diapers need to be diapered for a longer period of time.
As a result, we conducted a study with more than 5,000 parents. The outcome: On average, children become diaper-free 8 months earlier with Judes compared to disposable diapers.
We also discovered: Nearly one in four children are diapered beyond 4 years of age, many even longer than 5 years (with disposable diapers).
That's the business model of disposable diaper manufacturers: The longer the children wet themselves, the more sales they make.

Time-Saving Compared to Disposable Diapers
This may come as a surprise to many:
Washing Judes takes only 15 minutes per week (4 minutes with a dryer).
For disposable diapers, you spend an average of 30 minutes per week, taking into account the time spent shopping and taking out the trash.
This is the result of a survey we conducted, with thousands of parents who use disposable diapers participating.

Save up to €3,000 per child
Disposable diaper manufacturers profit even more from you the longer your child needs disposable diapers. They also become more expensive as your child grows. Children who are wrapped in disposable diapers often need them for more than 4 years. Each year, this results in costs of about €1,000.
Judes are an investment in your child's health and future.
With Judes, your costs are not only significantly lower but also capped. You pay once - and you have your Judes not just for one child, but you can also use them for additional children or sell them second-hand.
Translated into everyday terms, Judes (compared to disposable diapers) finance you a monthly meal out.

Judes provide an especially good seal.
The super absorbent chemicals in disposable diapers can indeed hold a lot of moisture, but they don’t absorb it quickly enough. Consequently, for babies who are heavy wetters or have projectile breastfeeding stool, the liquid often just runs off.
Judes are made from organic cotton – and cotton absorbs liquid extremely quickly.
We have developed an innovative weave that is both thin and highly absorbent. Judes diapers can last up to 12 hours and are also suitable for overnight use.

Why Babies and Parents Love Judes
Our Poo Paper catches the baby's stools. It separates the stools from the diaper and is then disposed of - just like with disposable diapers.
Our Poo Paper is a thin paper made of cellulose. It is completely compostable.
Tip: As long as your baby isn't eating solid food yet, you can also omit our Poo Paper.
We designed Judes so that washing and drying are as easy as possible.
You collect the used Judes in our diaper bag. When you're ready to wash, you simply put our diaper bag along with the diapers into the washing machine. You don't need to touch the used Judes a second time. The Judes diapers will automatically come out of the diaper bag during the washing cycle.
You wash Judes normally at 60°C (140°F) and 1000 revolutions, like your household laundry. You can air dry them or use a dryer.
Washing takes 15 minutes per week (including hanging and taking them down).
That is about as much time as shopping for, stocking, and disposing of disposable diapers.
We conducted a survey with over 2,000 parents. Some used disposable diapers, others used Judes. The result: The time spent with Judes was reported to be less (about 20 minutes a week) than with disposable diapers (about 30 minutes a week).
By the way: Children who use Judes typically become diaper-free almost 1 year earlier than children with disposable diapers - this is also the result of our survey. Research also suggests that diapering time with cloth diapers is shorter than with disposable diapers.
No, because it works similarly to disposable diapers. Our Poo Paper catches your baby's stools. When removing the diaper, the stools are easily separated from the inner diaper. Like a disposable diaper, you throw away the Poo Paper together with its content.
The inner diaper goes into the diaper bag. Once the diaper bag is full, you put it along with the diapers into the washing machine. Therefore, you don't have to handle the used diapers again. The Judes diapers come out of the diaper bag automatically during the wash cycle.
Everything gets hygienically cleaned in the washing machine.
By the way: Storing them in our diaper bag is odor-neutral. This surprises many because disposable diapers are known for their diaper stench. This is because disposable diapers are stored airtight in diaper sacks or diaper pails. This leads to unbearable odors in the house. Our diaper bag, in which the used diapers remain until washed, allows for air circulation, so the bathroom remains odor-free.
Many of our parents even report that Judes hold up better than the disposable diapers they used before.
Why is that?
The super-absorbing chemicals in disposable diapers can store a lot of moisture but not quickly. So, with heavy wetters or explosive breastfed baby stools, a portion of the liquid drips off and leaks away.
Organic cotton naturally absorbs extremely quickly, so Judes also provide good leak protection with milk stools and heavy wetting.
We use an innovative weaving technique that is extremely absorbent. Judes hold up so well that they can be worn both during the day and at night. Additionally, both our inner diaper and the cover have cuffs at the back and legs, which act as a double barrier.
No, the normal size clothes fit with Judes.
A slim fit was very important to us when developing Judes. The fabric for our inner diapers is specially woven for us: It is exceptionally thin while also being absorbent! Thus, we have managed to ensure that Judes do not make as bulky a diaper butt as many other cloth diapers. To be fair, though, it must be said that Judes still have more volume than a disposable diaper. However, with most babies we tested Judes with, the regular pant size still fit.
Judes are definitely thinner than other cloth diapers.
With Judes, there's no folding or pressing necessary, it's all self-explanatory. That is exactly why we founded Judes.
Our standard is that you won't need an instruction manual.
Yes, it's very simple.
Judes are designed to be both leak-proof and space-saving. Thus, you can store the used Judes in our small diaper bag and then wash them at home with the rest of the diaper laundry. Daycares also like to use Judes.
